Ultrasound

On thursday, Colette and I went for another doctor appointment. We were exciting to see our baby again. Which is the coolest thing ever. Our baby is 12 weeks old now, which is oldest to actually look like a baby. It is only like three inches long, but we were able to see arms, legs, fingers, the spine, the brain, the contours of its face. It was amazing. We have a good photo that I am going to scan in probably tomorrow that I will post on here. The baby was kicking around, which right now doesn't really hurt, but was super exciting to see.

For parents out there, what do you remember about seeing your babies for the first time. (even though this was our second time, it was the first time it looked like a baby)

With Ethan, I thought "is that our baby" but it was the placenta...then I saw the baby...and he looked like a peanut. The second time I remember thinking "my babies a genius" (he was all curled up with his hand on his head). With Camille, I thought that's my baby!!! I new what right away. The second time I was amazed at how beautiful our babies body was...and then I found out the baby was a girl...and I thought Praise God!...I love my two babies...I can't wait to meet Camille.

So excited for you guys!

I cried every ultrasound I had. I always found it amazing to see the heart beating....

It's so weird how much love you can feel for a thing, that you know is a person, and is your baby, but is a picture on a screen at that moment, and you just love it so much.... it's a weird feeling.

Way to have a 3" baby!!! Can't wait to see the picture! :)

I remember the relief I felt seeing a healthy baby in there. That perfectly formed little heart melted mine.

I didn't want to get an ultrasound because I'm you know a hippie...but they talked me into it at around 13-14 weeks and it really was cool... it seemed really real to me. At the time I was still not showing so it was the only real evidence that I had that I wasn't just sick and getting fat. Congrats on being able to be there with Collette! I'm soooooo excited for you guys

I'd have to say the ultrasound experience was one of the coolest ever. My mother-inlaw's buddy has her own gear so we got to watch our little baby girl kick and holler for about an hour. It blew me away... still does. Peace, hope and love
